EPG 10B – Biphasic external pacemaker

External single-chamber pacemaker with biphasic pacing pulse. The electrical charge required for successful stimulation is divided into two parts – a negative and a positive pulse. This makes it possible to reduce the amplitude (or width, i.e. the energy) of the stimulation pulse, making it gentler on heart tissue.
